Mission Statement

mission-statementMichael Bogart Ministries is a web-based aid for  people involved in various levels of Christian life and service.

Our goal is to provide articles, resources and other materials to enable you to serve Christ better.  In this site Pastor Michael Bogart (along with specially selected Christian leaders) offers insights, skills, experiences and ideas gleaned from many years of Christian service.

Understanding that you may not respond to (or agree with) everything in this site, you are nevertheless invited to use anything that may be of interest or help to you.  Though most materials are freely shared, the curriculum section offers a wide range of Bible studies and outlines for a modest cost.

Statement of Christian Faith
The Scriptures: We believe that the Bible, as originally written, is inspired of God and without error.  We believe it is the only reliable guide for human belief and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).
The Godhead: We believe that there is only one true and living God, infinite in every virtue.  We further believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three divine persons: the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  The persons of the Godhead are one in essence and equal in every attribute (Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20).
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus of Nazareth was miraculously begotten of  the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He perfectly fulfilled the Law given to Israel, was crucified for the sins of the world and was bodily raised from the dead.   He is both fully God and fully human (Matthew 1:20, Luke 1:26-38, John 1:1-18).  We further believe he is the promised Messiah of Israel and the sinless savior of the World.
Creation: We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, by his direct act (Genesis 1-2, Colossians 1:16-17, John 1:3). We believe all humans are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:14; Psalm 8:5-8).
The Human Race: We believe that Adam and Eve were created in innocence, but sinned by conscious choice.  As its source and fountain, Adam thus condemned the entire human race to the degenerative and futile results of sin.  Since the fall of our first parents, all of humankind is born with a depraved (sin-infected) nature and inclination toward sin (Psalm 51:5; 58:3; Ephesians 2:2-3; Romans 3:23), becoming willful sinners with the earliest expressions of personal choice (Genesis 3, Romans 5:1-18).
Salvation: We believe that the only redemption from sin is made possible through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.  We  joyously accept the scriptural truth that salvation is given by grace through faith to all who believe in Jesus Christ, crucified for our sins and resurrected for our newness of life.  We further believe that no actions, deeds or religious efforts on our part (however good) merit our salvation or make that salvation more secure (Romans 6:23; 10:9-10; John 3:1-7, 16; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Hebrews 10:4, 14; Acts 4:12; 16:30-33, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7). We believe that the truly reborn Christian is eternally secure in God’s faithful promises of  salvation (John 6:44; 10:28-29; Romans 8:9-11, 28-39; I Peter 1:3-5; Hebrews 7:23-25; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30).
The Church: We believe that the Church Universal is a New Testament institution, established by its head, Jesus Christ.  The Church was established through the apostles and it is empowered and perpetuated by the Holy Spirit.  It began on the day of Pentecost and will be consummated at the coming of the Lord Jesus  (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:1-13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:21, 5:23-33; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). We believe that the Church Universal is manifested through its thousands of local congregations world-wide.  To his Church, Christ has commended  the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Romans 6:3-11; Acts 2:37-41; 8:36; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34).
Satan: We believe in the distinct personality of the fallen angel, known as Satan. He is the enemy of God and his purposes. Along with his demons, the Devil is destined to the Lake of Fire for eternity (Isaiah 14:12-14; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
The Return of Christ: We believe in the physical and imminent return of Christ for his own and his reign over the earth in peace and righteousness (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; Revelation 19:11-21; 20:4-5).
The Resurrection and Eternity: We believe in the resurrection of the dead and, more specifically, that believers will be raised and transformed at the coming of Christ.  We believe that the unrighteous will be judged according to their works and consigned to eternal separation from the presence of God (John 5:21-30; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:41-46). We believe in a literal Heaven, the dwelling place of God and the eternal  inheritance of the redeemed (John 14:1-6; Philippians 3:20-21).         GBTG!
