		<description>I remember visiting an out of town church where, when it was time for offering, they combined the &quot;meet &amp; greet&quot; with taking the offering.  People were out of their chairs, moving around, talking, laughing, etc. as the offering bags somehow made their way through the 1,500 plus seats.  Now, picture someone there quietly dropping their last $10 into the bag, in the midst of that, and praying with all their heart that there would be food on the table that night.

How many times have I dropped the check in the offering bag without pausing to really think about what was happening?  How many times have I missed truly being a part of this act of worship?  Too often, I&#039;m afraid.</description>
